It was a really nice day for sailing and everything was perfect, except for the wind.  It was rather windy to start, but as the day wore on, the wind slowly went away.  The result was that we were only able to sail nine races, with the last one being a “drifter”.

It’s not fair to say there was a winner in today’s racing because there were so many classes represented; from 10-Raters to DF-95’s.  I’m happy to say that the racing was very clean.  As you might imagine, the difference in boat sizes can be a little worrisome when it comes to rounding marks, but there were not the usual scrums that can sometimes occur.  I attribute this to the very relaxed atmosphere during the regatta.

It was a fun day!
